Creating a Home vol 65

The spaces we’re creating inside and out of the homes that we are building. I’m showcase a bit of everything from floor to ceiling as well as exterior touches to really make each home unique and inviting. The craftsmanship and customer style make each space a new area to explore and take pointers from.

The dark beams on the white vaulted ceiling draw the eye upwards in the great room.

Hanging lights from chains extend them down to give better lighting to the room.

The columns are trimmed with wainscoting and crown molding where they meet the walls and beams.

The walls of the sitting room have vertical shiplap and the columns define the space.

The granite is a gorgeous with its flecked grey on white pattern.

The bedroom walls being done in grey add a warmth to the room.

The T&G and cedar shake are great features for the screened-in porch.

This shows even more of the T&G meeting stone this time on the screened-in porch.

The stacked stone fireplace is accented with dark and chunky wood trim in the mantle and door trim.

The shot shows the fireplace going all the way to the ceiling, giving the space a grand feeling.

The screened-in porch is a perfect spot to dine and relax.

The extra window above the glass patio doors invites more natural light into the great room.

The home is getting more stone details, wood trim, a barn door and tile installed.

1-stone wall behind sink — This vanity features a stone wall behind the sink with the faucet set to be mounted on the wall.

2-wainscotting — We’ve added a custom wainscoting wall.

3-barn style door — A barn door being built.

4-backsplash going up — The backsplash tile in the kitchen has a retro flare.

5-shower tile accent — The shower tile has an accent finished with a herringbone pattern.

6-grey paver tile — The grey brick tile is perfect for this space.

7-backsplash complete — The hood for the kitchen cabinetry is all in place.

8-priming the walls — The walls are primed and awaiting the final painting.

Gorgeous vaulted ceilings with crown molding detailed on the columns.

The island has glass sides, deep drawers for storage, a granite countertop all lit by lovely pendants style chandeliers.

The island also has a farmhouse sink with an oil rubbed bronze faucet.

The dining room has a vaulted ceiling trimmed with beams.

The backsplash has a framed basket weave design.

The wall cabinetry has glass doors and is all topped by crown molding.

The electrical outlet on the island offers great convenience while blending in very well.

The view out onto the screened-in porch is wonderful for entertaining.

Please forgive me, I mixed up two of our homes. Here is the Rippling Cove-Keowee-18. We’ve got sheet rock going up, doors being installed and more stone work going on. This home will be spectacular once we’ve gotten everything installed.

1-sheetrock hanging — Sheet rock going up and creating walls and a tray ceiling in this room.

2-protecting the beams in prep for painting — All the beams are wrapped to protect them from sheet rock dust and paint.

3-stone for the exterior — Stone being installed on the exterior for columns.

4-muding the seams — Applying tape and mud on the seams between the sheet rock to create a smooth finish once painted.

6-ext door install — Installing the doors.

7-stairs being built for deck — This is the frame for the exterior stone steps.

8-ext stone — Stone work ongoing for the exterior of the home.

The dark wood trim looks charming with the gray siding and stone trim on this home.

The entry door has a dark stain and a six paneled arched window to let in the natural light.

The dining room has lots of natural light with a tray ceiling and dark hardwood floors.

The trim work for the dining room includes columns with custom trim details and crown molding to top it off.

The dining room is open to the kitchen and great room with columns to designate the space.

The wainscoting carries all the way to the ceiling in the dining room.

This chandelier hangs over the stairwell to the basement.

The great room has vaulted ceilings and a fireplace with stone all the way to the ceiling.

The fireplace has a mantle surround in chunky wood to add a charming element to the design.

The tall windows and french doors give a wonderful view of the lake.

The stone work on the fireplace is a stacked stone in heather grey.

The dining room being open to the great room offers wonderful entertaining space and an open concept.

The home is getting many touches to finish the look. Wood and stone on the exterior, T&G for the ceilings and tile in the master bath.

This island features shiplap across the back.

The ends of the island have glass doors on the cabinetry.

The kitchen features white cabinets topped by grey granite with a subway tile backsplash.

The island has a long custom wooden top to contrast with the white cabinetry.

The pendant lights are reminiscent of an older era and add charm.

The barn doors separate the kitchen from the wet bar.

The granite on the bar is all cream and brown, a gorgeous accent to the dark wood of the bar.

The T&G on the screened-in porch is stained a lovely honey tone.

The iron filigree patio furniture on the screened-in porch is classic.

The wood trim on the screened-in porch is lovely and charming.

The entrance to the home is accented by the same wood work.

This home is getting the finishing custom touches the really define the house as a craftsman home. The wood for the trim, stairs and beams is getting a dark stain and the board & baton on the exterior is getting painted.
